The Atlanta Falcons will find it challenging moving the ball against the Denver Broncos in their Week 11 matchup. As my colleague Tre’Shon Diaz outlined earlier this week, the Broncos feature a formidable pass rush and sport one of the better run defenses in the NFL.
However, one area where the Broncos’ defense is vulnerable is their inability to limit explosive plays. Denver has allowed 33 plays of 20 or more yards, tied with four other teams to rank 16th in the NFL. That’s a middling mark.
Explosiveness has fueled the Falcons’ offensive success this year, with 40 explosive plays on 35 drives.
