Former Falcons CB Jalen Collins officially passed through waivers unclaimed on Wednesday and his now free to sign with a team of his choosing.
Collins, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $5.428 million contract and was set to make base salaries of $928,439 and $1,175,159 over the next two years when the Falcons elected to cut him loose on Tuesday.
Collins just finished serving his 10-game suspension for violating the NFL policy on performance-enhancing substances. However, it appears as though Atlanta didn’t want to create a roster spot in order to keep him.
