Former Atlanta Falcons running back Jamal Anderson wants to be an example to others, and he’s ready to put his criminal troubles behind him.
But first, he’s got to serve a 12-day jail sentence.
Anderson was given a 24-month sentence after pleading guilty to DUI and failure to maintain charges from a September arrest in Hall County. The 43-year-old surrendered Monday and will be credited with time already served. With good behavior, Anderson likely will be out of jail by the weekend, his attorney, Arturo Corso, told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
