Falcons' William Moore uncertain for game with Jaguars

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Falcons starting strong safety William Moore did not return to Sunday’s game at Carolina because of an ankle injury, but it is not believed to be serious.

The status of one of Atlanta’s top run-stoppers for Sunday’s critical game at Jacksonville will be determined later in the week, particularly in practices Wednesday and Thursday as the Falcons (6-7) try to remain in the wild-card hunt.

Moore, who is fourth on the team with 51 combined tackles and assists despite missing two games with a groin injury, is important against the run.
