Atlanta Falcons cornerback Desmond Trufant and fullback Patrick DiMarco are expected to be named to the Pro Bowl today, per their agents.
Both Trufant and DiMarco were Pro Bowl alternates. With cornerbacks Aqib Talib and Chris Harris of Denver and Josh Norman of Carolina headed to the Super Bowl, a spot opened for Trufant. Meanwhile, fullback Mike Tolbert of the Panthers also is headed to the Super Bowl, paving the way for DiMarco.
Once it becomes official, Trufant and DiMarco will join teammates Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman in Hawaii. This will be the first Pro Bowl appearances for Freeman, Trufant,and DiMarco.
