Falcons fans are probably already sick of the word injury, especially with the numerous ones the team has experienced as of late. With key defensive players like Courtney Upshaw, Vic Beasley and now Jack Crawford on the injury report, it stands to reason that the Falcons may need to look at options outside their walls, which it appears they’ve done.

Interestingly, the one name missing that fans may have expected was veteran Dwight Freeney, who was a key factor in Beasley’s breakout season last year.
