FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- While the Atlanta Falcons wait for Devin Hester, the NFL’s greatest return man, to reach full speed, they’re hoping to slow a Hester-esque young player Sunday in Jacksonville.
Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Rashad Greene, a fifth-round pick, breathed instant life into the team's punt-return game upon taking over the job a few weeks ago.
He missed seven games with a thumb injury, and the Jags averaged 4.6 yards per punt return, fair-catching eight of 21 fielded.
Greene was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week after scoring on a 73-yard punt return in last week’s 51-16 blowout of the Tennessee Titans.
