After one practice with the Falcons, former New Orleans Saints wide receiver and Falcons nemesis Lance Moore decided to retire on Monday.
Moore tried out for the San Diego Chargers last week, but they elected to sign former Green Bay Packer James Jones.
Moore played for the Detroit Lions last season and caught 29 passes for 337 yards and four touchdowns.
However, most Falcons fans know him from his days with the New Orleans Saints from 2006 to 2013. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2014.
Moore, 5-foot-9 and 177 pounds, caught a career-high 79 passes for 928 yards and 10 touchdowns during the 2008 season.
