At some point in the not-too-distant future, Kirk Cousins will look more like the Kirk Cousins the Atlanta Falcons wanted to run their offense. The rhythm will return like it did for a brief stretch against the Steelers when Cousins went 7/7 and a touchdown, he’ll feel more comfortable moving around the pocket and getting outside of it when necessary, and the passing game will start to hum a bit. Perhaps Cousins is never quite the quarterback he was before the Achilles injury again, but given his history and ability, he seems unlikely to be terrible for the 2024 season.
