Another AFC team is on the horizon, and with it another team that has an overall positive record against the Atlanta Falcons in their respective histories. The Denver Broncos lead the all time series 9-7, although the Falcons have been closing the gap in the past decade or so.
The Broncos are one of the rare teams against whom Atlanta got off to a good historic start against, back in the lowly days of the early-to-mid 1970s. The Birds actually won two of the first three meetings through 1975, and were an overtime defeat in 1979 away from stringing together four straight wins against Denver.
