It’s a trip up to the windy city for the Atlanta Falcons for the second clash in two seasons against the Chicago Bears, who currently own a very narrow 15-14 head-to-head lead in the all time series.
The ‘60s and ‘70s were very lean years for the Falcons, who missed the playoffs in each of their first 12 years of existence after inception in 1966, but the Bears were one of the very few teams the Birds had consistent success against in that time period. After defeats in the first two matchups ever, in 1966 and 1967, Atlanta won nine of the next 11 against Chicago between 1968-1983.
