The NFL changes fast. A month ago, the Atlanta Falcons were sitting pretty atop the NFC South, while the Minnesota Vikings were 6-2 but coming off a not-quite-comfortable win over the Colts following a two game skid.
Fast forward today and the Falcons are tied with the Buccaneers, ahead only because of a tiebreaker, while the Vikings have won four in a row and are now 10-2 and ticketed for the playoffs. The Vikings defense has fallen off its torrid pace a bit, but their offense is picking up the slack, while the Falcons just got a tremendous defensive performance spoiled but a ruinous offensive one.
