Falcons Uniform History: #6

You may have noticed a theme in the first few editions of these Falcons uniform history posts. Many of these low numbers have been proudly worn by specialists, like punters and kickers. Well, #6 is no different.

From 1972 to 1981, punter John James wore #6 for the Falcons. James played in 148 games in that span for the Falcons, punting 873 times. He averaged 40.8 yards per punt. James was selected to the Pro Bowl three times over the course of his career.

Ali Haji-Sheikh wore the number 6 in the six games he played in for the Falcons in 1986.
