Falcons tight end Jacob Tamme did not practice on Thursday as he continues to go through the league-mandated concussion protocol, putting his status in doubt for this Sunday’s game against the Texans.
Tamme left the game against the Cowboys on Sunday after suffering the injury. The league’s concussion protocol requires that Tamme return to baseline status of cognitive functions and be cleared by the team doctor and an independent neuropsychology consultant. At that point he can gradually return to practice and play.
Tamme has played 123 of 223 snaps this season (55 percent) and has eight catches for 104 yards.
