Falcons soaring without Jones a good sign for strong finish

LOS ANGELES -- The Atlanta Falcons emerged from the tunnel Sunday with the sounds of R. Kelly's ``I Believe I Can Fly'' blaring from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum speakers.

Yes, Superman flew around the building all day Sunday. This time, it wasn't Julio Jones.

Vic Beasley Jr., the Falcons second-year sensation, was one of a handful of players who helped compensate for Jones missing the game with a turf toe injury. Beasley put together a monster effort with three sacks -- bringing his season total to 13.5 - a sack-fumble, and a scoop of that fumble for a 21-yard return and his first career touchdown in the Falcons' 42-14 thumping of the lowly Los Angeles Rams.
