It was a busy Wednesday for the Atlanta Falcons, although no major transactions were made.
After having starting linebacker Paul Worrilow sign his restricted free-agent tender (one-year, $2.553 million) in the morning, the team followed by signing offensive tackle Tom Compton and linebacker LaRoy Reynolds.
The 6-foot-5-inch, 308-pound Compton, originally a sixth-round draft pick of the Redskins out of South Dakota, reunites with Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan, who held the same title in Washington. With Compton, the Falcons get a player capable of playing both guard and tackle in a familiar scheme.
