The Atlanta Falcons love making roster moves this time of year. Right now, with preseason performances evaluated and injuries piling up, they really love making moves.
The team announced Monday that they signed defensive back and special teamer Josh Thompson, a move reported a little earlier today, and added cornerback William Hooper. In corresponding moves, they cut fullback Robert Burns (who had been on the physically unable to perform list) and wide receiver Austin Mack, a CFL import who saw the receiver depth chart dramatically improved after he signed. We wish both Burns and Mack well.
