Falcons' secondary keeps it together after losing Desmond Trufant

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins didn't step on the field this season trying to do his best Desmond Trufant impersonation. He simply wanted to be his best Jalen Collins.

The second-year player and former second-round draft pick from LSU drew his share of criticism following a rocky rookie season where he barely saw the field, struggled through injury, and came in fighting a bad rep related to failed college drug tests. Then Collins was suspended for the first four games of this season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing substances.
