The Atlanta Falcons are sitting atop the NFC South by a comfortable margin after beating the Dallas Cowboys and watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lose. Now they have a rare opportunity against the New Orleans Saints this weekend.
By winning on the road, the Falcons can run their divisional record to 5-0 for the first time since 2014, drop the Saints to 2-8 and essentially kill whatever lingering hope they had this season, and run their all-time regular season record against New Orleans to one game above .500. That, a 7-3 record, and a 7-1 mark against the NFC make this a game the Falcons should be plenty motivated for.
