This part of the year, right before the regular season, brings a lot of change. The 53-man roster is formed, players are released, players are signed, and at times the unexpected happens. Earlier in the day we learned who would make the team’s practice squad and saw a player claimed by the Falcons. None of this was surprising, but this year’s unexpected cut was soon to follow.
On Wednesday afternoon, the Atlanta Falcons released long snapper Josh Harris, per the league’s transaction wire. It’s possible that all of this is nothing more than some reshuffling on the roster for cap purposes, and that Harris will be back.
