Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that the Falcons are re-signing veteran LB Sean Weatherspoon to a contract on Tuesday.
Weatherspoon, 29, is a former first-round pick of the Falcons back in 2010. He spent four years in Atlanta before signing on with the Cardinals in 2015.
The Falcons brought Weatherspoon back on a one-year, $1.5 million contract last year, but he wound up being placed on season-ending injured reserve after he suffered an Achilles tear.
In 2016, Weatherspoon has appeared in two games and recorded 13 tackles for the Falcons.
