The entire season has built, haphazardly and with many fits and starts, to this moment. The Falcons are in the playoffs with essentially a clean slate, and the chance to wipe out a lot of the frustrations they endured during their 10-6 regular season that saw them finish third in the NFC South.
Their opponent is the Los Angeles Rams, who have very few weaknesses besides an average run defense, a gaping hole at the kicker position, and playoff inexperience. There are a huge range of possible outcomes for these Rams, as I won’t be surprised if the Falcons beat them today and I won’t be particularly shocked if they represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
