Troy Andersen had a breakout game early in the season, and then injury reared its ugly head. Andersen got back on the field in a small handful of games, but he never seemed 100% when he returned, and now his season is well and truly over.
The Atlanta Falcons announced Monday that they have placed Andersen on injured reserve with four games to go, meaning he’s out until at least the postseason, if indeed the Falcons manage to make it there. The team activated Ruke Orhorhoro from IR in a related move, elevating special teamer Josh Woods from the practice squad and added kicker Tanner Brown to the practice squad.
