So, what exactly is a tender?
If another team signs either player, the Falcons will be compensated with a pick in the draft round attached to that player. For example, if a team signs Allen, the Falcons will be compensated with a second-round pick. Allen and Garland are both restricted free agents, meaning the team would be able to match any offer another team gives to either player.
Allen recorded 54 combined tackles with one interception, one tackle for loss, and one pass defense while starting 15 games at safety.
