Aside from a brief break in between, the Atlanta Falcons have now had an unparalleled run of excellent at the kicker position that stretches back 15 years. When Matt Bryant took over for Jason Elam, he was one of the best options in the NFL for over a decade. When Younghoe Koo eventually took over for him, he became one of the best options in the league for going on five seasons now.
Somehow, Koo found a way to hit a new level on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. With the Falcons down a single point and having just thrown three incomplete passes, Koo had no choice to but to jog onto the field for a fourth down with the game very much on the line.
