The Atlanta Falcons cleared up some cap space right before the season, giving themselves close to $7 million in breathing room. While that sparked speculation about a move, it always seemed more likely that the team was simply having some operating cash on hand in case they needed to make signings owing to injury or ineffective play.
The latest move, however, suggests something is afoot. The Falcons restructured David Onyemata’s deal to free up a reported $4.85 million in cap space, and now Over The Cap has them with $11.7 million available.
