Falcons cut LB Green amid 4 assault allegations

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons have waived rookie linebacker Torrey Green, the team announced Thursday.

Earlier Thursday, TMZ reported that the Cache County Attorney's office in Utah actively investigated two separate sexual assault allegations against Green, an undrafted player from Utah State.

Captain Curtis Hooley of the Logan (Utah) Police Department told ESPN on Thursday morning that Green was never charged with a crime, and that Cache County District Attorney James Swink declined to prosecute the cases.

"We were not able to get enough evidence to charge him," Hooley said.
