Going into the start of the offseason program, the Atlanta Falcons still had some uncertainty as the right guard position.
Maybe that doubt was answered with a move made Wednesday afternoon.
The Falcons re-signed veteran right guard Chris Chester, who started at 16 games at the position last season. Chester, 33, played on a one-year contract last season then faced an uncertain future while underdoing right shoulder surgery.
Chester generated interest from three other teams other than the Falcons on free-agent market. In Atlanta, he'll move back into a comfortable zone block scheme he first became familiar with playing under offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan when Shanahan held the same time for the Washington Redskins.
