While he didn’t make the roster during final cuts, Caleb Huntley found his way back to the practice squad, and he figures to get some action on gameday at some point this season. Depending on how significant the injury he’s dealing with is, though, that might not happen.
The Falcons just placed Huntley on injured reserve, and they’ve added defensive tackle Anthony Rush to replace him. We’ll hope Huntley recovers soon, and that at the very least the rookie will be healthy and ready to compete for a spot heading into 2022. The team will continue to roll with Mike Davis and Cordarrelle Patterson as their top two backs, with Wayne Gallman serving as the #3 and Qadree Ollison holding down the fort on the practice squad.
