Falcons 2015 draft: Implications of the Jalen Collins pick

The Falcons, opting to stick with upgrading the defense, selected LSU's Jalen Collins with their second round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft.

Like their first round pick Vic Beasley, Collins is another fit for Dan Quinn's defense. He's a big, long corner (6'1'', 203 lbs) with the speed and physicality to boot. With Desmond Trufant having the left cornerback position locked down, Collins will compete with Robert Alford for the spot on the other side of the field.

It's safe to assume Collins has the upper hand and the 5'10'' Alford will move to the nickelback role.
