Dontari Poe's offensive package could 'come alive' for Falcons

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn smiled when reminded of how versatile two-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle Dontari Poe has been in the past.

Remember, the Kansas City Chiefs also used Poe as an offensive weapon in goal-line situations, where he scored two 1-yard rushing touchdowns on two carries and also cleared holes for others. But Poe's claim to fame is the jump pass he threw in last year's blowout of the Denver Broncos in Kansas City. Poe lined up in the Wildcat formation, clapped his hands once, took the snap, took three steps forward and delivered a leaping throw to tight end Demetrius Harris for the score.
