FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Dontari Poe met his weight requirement of 330 pounds or lighter this week to earn a third, $125,000 workout bonus, a league source told ESPN Wednesday night.
Poe, a two-time Pro Bowler who signed a one-year, $8 million deal with the Falcons in the offseason, had a $500,000 workout bonus placed in his contract that would be based on four separate weigh-ins. The first required him to weigh no more than 340 pounds by the start of mandatory minicamp in June.
