Devonta Freeman ruled out of Atlanta Falcons’ game with Vikings

Devonta Freeman has been ruled out of Sunday’s game with the Minnesota Vikings. He has been unable to return in time from the concussion he suffered in last week’s defeat to the Indianapolis Colts. Rookie running back Tevin Coleman will get the start.

Wide receiver Leonard Hankerson, who has been plagued with injuries all season, has also been ruled out with a hamstring injury. Kicker Matt Bryant is dealing with a right quad injury and is also out. The Falcons signed kicker Shayne Graham to fill in for Bryant.

Freeman’s absence will mean the rookie Coleman will make his first start at running back since Week 2.
