Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn seemed surprised to hear the Carolina Panthers traded wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin, but Quinn knows the Cam Newton-led offense will be a tough challenge regardless.
The Panthers shipped the 6-foot-5, 245-pound Benjamin to Buffalo on Tuesday in exchange for third- and seventh-round picks. In four career gamea against the Falcons, Benjamin caught 17 passes for 220 yards with three touchdowns, 70 yards after the catch and 14 first downs. Those might not be eye-popping numbers, but the Falcons certainly are better off not having to defend him.
