Atlanta Falcons coach Dan Quinn said unsigned veterans Chris Chester and Philip Wheeler remain options for the team as they head toward the draft.
Chester, the team's starting right guard last season, was uncertain about his future as he entered the offseason needing shoulder surgery. However, Chester has told those close to him he wants to continue playing, and he's generated interest from three teams other than the Falcons.
Chester, 33, started all 16 games for the Falcons last season. He signed a one-year deal, $2.8 million deal. If the season started today without Chester in the mix, the Falcons likely would have to go with Mike Person at right guard.
