There are draft classes and offseasons that look like inflection points for the Atlanta Falcons, and ones that only become obvious as such later on. The former is best represented by 2008, where we knew the team would have to nail their draft class to thrive and they did. The latter looks more like 2012, where a team with limited draft capital whiffed badly on their class, which wound up fueling the collapse that got Mike Smith fired.
The 2025 NFL Draft looks like a blend of those two moments to some extent. Down to just five selections—they had just six in 2012—the Falcons have limited opportunities to make the most of an interesting class.
