Blank cancer-free, will attend owners meetings

Arthur Blank underwent successful surgery for prostate cancer four weeks ago and has declared himself cancer-free, the Atlanta Falcons owner said Thursday at the Technology Association of Georgia Summit.

Blank will attend next week's NFL owners meetings in Boca Raton, Florida, spokesperson Brett Jewkes said.

Blank, who turned 73 last September, revealed he had cancer in a statement released last month.

"Over the last several weeks, (fiancée) Angie and I have visited a number of expert doctors and hospitals across the country to identify the best treatment options for me," he said at the time.
