Atlanta Falcons: Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman out of Jets game

The battle to be the starting running back will have to resume another day, as the Atlanta Falcons’ top three backs will all be out of action tonight against the New York Jets.

Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman returned to practice this week after missing time with hamstring injuries, but are not ready to play. Antone Smith also suffered a hamstring injury while running in a touchdown against the Titans last week.

Coach Dan Quinn is likely being cautious with the two backs, as there is no point rushing them back and putting them at further risk of injury if they are not yet 100 percent.
