Offensive line help is on the way to the Atlanta Falcons as Jake Long as officially signed with the team. Various reports suggested it would happen this week, and it has been confirmed by an announcement on AtlantaFalcons.com.
The Atlanta Falcons announced on Tuesday that they have signed tackle Jake Long, and have released safety Charles Godfrey.
Long was the first overall pick in the 2008 NFL Draft, selected by the Miami Dolphins. Long was selected to the Pro Bowl in four consecutive years between 2008-11. He was a first-team All-Pro in 2010 and a second-teamer the season prior.
