The Atlanta Falcons 2014 season was one that saw the team featured on HBO’s ‘Hard Knocks’ to begin the year, have a 5-1 record versus the NFC South but were 1-9 versus teams from the NFC East, NFC West and AFC North. It was a season that saw Matt Ryan get sacked 31 times, which at that point would be the second most of his seven year career. The Falcons would get hit by a major injury bug when Sam Baker, Joe Hawley, Peter Konz, Sean Weatherspoon and several other key contributors missed at least half the season with injuries.
