After going 3-0 to start the season, the Atlanta Falcons started struggling. Before long they were sitting at 4-4 and the worry was real that they would miss the post season. They found a way to dig deep though and big wins against teams like the Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints and in Week 17 the Carolina Panthers sealed their fate. Atlanta did just enough to secure the sixth seed and they will play the Los Angeles Rams in the Wild Card Round.
With their season on the line, the defense stepped up. They surrendered just 10 points to the Panthers and 2015 NFL MVP Cam Newton was picked off three times.
