The Atlanta Falcons run game currently ranks 28th out of 32 teams in the NFL, with a measly 116 carries through six games. This is a big reason why this team is 1-5 and Matt Ryan leads the league in passing attempts and completions.
If the Atlanta Falcons want to fix the run game, then they need to cut ties with Devonta Freeman either during the season before the trade deadline, or after the season is over. Sure, the run blocking hasn’t exactly been stellar for the majority of the season, but even when there is a hole to run through, Freeman just can’t hit it.
