Players drafted in the seventh round rarely ever make it in the NFL. So Tyler Starr who was selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the seventh round in 2014 was already behind the eight ball from the get go.
However, with a solid 2014 training camp, Starr made it onto the 53-man roster but didn’t see a single snap for his entire rookie season.
Things didn’t go as planned in 2015. Starr, under a brand new coaching staff was cut and signed to the Falcons’ practice squad before being promoted to the 53-man roster in mid December.
