The anticipation for preseason football is usually considerable, but it’s notably different in Atlanta than in years past. An offseason filled with major changes has created plenty of intrigue about the franchise.
Those changes for the Atlanta Falcons have resulted in more nationally televised games, where they have rarely been featured during the last five years. Two seasons of non-existent NFL-caliber starting quarterback play pushed them to acquire who they envisioned as two NFL franchise quarterbacks. One of them won’t likely play until September. One of them is expected to only play in August for the next two years.
