FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- Another Atlanta Falcon got hit with a hefty fine Friday when the NFL assessed defensive end Adrian Clayborn a fine of $18,231 for roughing New England's Tom Brady in last Sunday's loss.
It marked the third time in the last two weeks a Falcons defender has received such a fine for hitting the quarterback. Defensive tackle Grady Jarrett and linebacker De'Vondre Campbell were fined $18,231 apiece after drawing roughing-the-passer penalties against Miami Dolphins quarterback Jay Cutler.
The hits didn't appear to be malicious in intent.
