3 ways Zac Robinson can improve the Falcons’ abysmal third down conversion rate

One of the biggest problems to arise during the three difficult opening games for the Atlanta Falcons is their inability to convert third downs. Only the Jaguars, Panthers, and Browns have a worse third down conversion percentage than the Falcons. They have converted six out of 27 attempts. To make matters worse, 16 of those attempts have come on third and seven yards or less.

It’s not as if they consistently put themselves in third and long scenarios. The Falcons offense has failed to produce consistently when the pressure is on them.

A plethora of explanations can be given for this horrendous statistic.
