The Braves were late to announce their starting pitcher for the game on Tuesday, but they chose very well in giving the ball (and bat) to Huascar Ynoa. The right-hander suffocated the Nationals offense, but more impressively, backed his own cause with a sixth-inning grand slam in route to a 6-1 Atlanta victory.
Each leadoff hitter began the first inning with a single, and were subsequently erased with inning-ending double plays two batters later. That began a string of ten straight batters retired for Huascar Ynoa, who continued his great work for the season. He managed to fire seven innings, allowing only an unearned run on four hits with four strikeouts.
