So the Yankees have a new (old) first baseman after they brought back free agent Anthony Rizzo Tuesday night on a two-year deal worth a reported $32 million. The move probably won’t fry social media sites with praise posts and welcome-back GIFs, since a certain segment of Yankee fans were pining for glitzier pickups in Freddie Freeman or Matt Olson.

But Olson is now a long-term member of the Atlanta Braves and Freeman seems an unlikely fit in the Bronx after a Rizzo return.
