The strand of pearls around Pederson's neck went viral on Monday during Game 1 of the World Series against the Astros at Minute Maid Park. Houston's boys in orange and blue lost 6-2, though if you ask fashion-lovers, Pederson's on-trend accessory was the night's real winner.

On Sept. 30, after his team clinched the NL East Division, Pederson offered a cryptic response. "It's a mystery for everyone, they'll never know," he said.
Four days later he gave a slightly more elaborate -- albeit unsatisfying -- explanation.
