NORTH PORT, Fla. — Sports always reminds us how swiftly time passes.
It wasn’t too long ago that the Braves were celebrating on a bus flying down Peachtree Street. Then again, it kind of was. This will be the Braves’ fourth season since hoisting the trophy. And this might be the most different season of them all as key figures from that run continue departing.
Such is the nature of professional sports. That team wasn’t going to stay together. Time doesn’t slow for any team, even the greatest ones.
The 2021 champion Braves remaining: second baseman Ozzie Albies, third baseman Austin Riley, shortstop Orlando Arcia, starter Ian Anderson and left-hander Dylan Lee.
